r/opensource bans all AI-related projects
The Reddit forum r/opensource has banned posts about any AI-related projects, whether built with AI or designed for it. The move sparked backlash and led to the creation of a rival forum, r/TrueOpenSource.

VMware adds API access to Salt compliance tools
VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1.1 now offers programmatic API access to compliance and configuration management, previously only available via the UI. The feature builds on the open-source Salt project to make automation easier for admins.
